After completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1991, Lisa spent two years in Senegal, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer (1992-1994). Lisa went on to complete her masters in physical therapy in 1999 and then her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2003 from the Institute of Health Professions at MGH.

Lisa has 19 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. Most recently, Lisa completed course work in women's and pelvic floor physical therapy and is taking a particular interest in this area of practice.

As a physical therapist, Lisa observes how a lack of mindfulness and the fast pace of life can not only cause emotional stress and physical injury but can retard or prevent healing. Applying her background in yoga to her physical therapy practice, Lisa works with a clear understanding of anatomy and an appreciation for the patient's individual needs. Known for her ability to guide patients to make meaningful connections within their own bodies. Lisa uses a variety of manual techniques, modalities and exercises to facilitate the body’s natural healing process.

Lisa is a mother of three teenagers. She teaches yoga weekly at a small yoga studio in Watertown. Besides yoga, Lisa enjoys skiing, hiking, sculling, and cycling. She has enjoyed participating in triathlon and crewed a cycling team in the Race Across America (RAAM) in 2007.
